"Not a commemoration, a continuation" Then and Now

Ten Years Ago, August 28, 2013 - Here I am at the 50th Anniversary with the Psychologists for Social Responsibility Banner and a few photos from then. The attendance was much better 10 years ago. I think it was not well publicized this time and they had bigger celebrities then. I also attended the 25th Anniversary, when I came in from Philadelphia with little kids.

August 26, 2023 - The Next Best Thing to Being There

The woman’s T shirt says, “United Chinese Americans.” With all of the fear mongering against China and demonization they are doing what they can to humanize themsleves.

There was strong presence of Unions

As usual, there was a strong Jewish presence. The turquoise T shirts are from the ADL, the Anti-Defamation League. In the crowd and among the speakers were several Jews of Color

British Jewish Actor, Sasha Baron Cohen who visited Atlanta at the age of 19 when he was studying civil rights

There as also an Asian presence at the rally
