Sunday Funnies in a Time of Covid
For young people who don’t know, the big Sunday edition of newspapers had a special comic section called the Sunday Funnies. I don’t know whether they still do.
We need comic relief now, more than ever, and perspective. Comedy and satire have a way of revealing deeper truths and bypassing rational thought and psychological resistance, maybe.
Many of the political cartoons are not funny at all, but help us see things in a different way.
