Something that stealthy ... will have people jumping at shadows.

And the versatility to accept new weapons. Wow, that could be intended to accommodate just about anything traditionally 'military'. Bet it would accommodate aerosol dispersals too, EMP's, any number 'new' gadgets.

Oh, and then there is something I will refer to as the 'sudden pullout' factor. [reference our nation's generosity to unstable actors in leaving billions of armaments in Afganistan].

Peachy.

I do not feel safer.

Diane, your point about "isomorphic" propaganda is brilliant. Gen. Austin's jingoistic auto-eroticism is indeed structurally similar to the COVID response messaging. They certainly both use fear-mongering and exceptionalism. "Bad guys and bad germs are out there, but you can trust us to protect you. We're the good guys, and we're the only ones who are smart enough to decide what weapons and medicines the world needs."

The irony is that the agenda Gen. Austin serves is actually set in Davos and Brussels. It's about as American as sauer kraut and bratwurst.

Nothing any government sector or corporation does makes me feel safer. Thanks for making such logical points, helping anyone without a closed mind to see real reason instead of continuing to swallow propaganda with relish.
